Flowers for Dressage

A few pics of some arrangements we did for Dressage at Devon, at the Devon Horse Show, this fall.

Providing flowers for Dressage is always a pleasure.  Not only is the riding wondrous and beautiful to watch, but it benefits Thorncroft's therapeutic horse riding program, http://www.thorncroft.org/.  It is a fabulous event and everyone involved is absolutely wonderful to work with!

Flowers for a Christening

Several weeks ago we put together flowers for a christening at George's. Seasonal, yet simple, and perfect for a baby boy.

White hydrangea, white kale, tapestry millet, green hypericum berry, scabiosa pods and birch twigs, again in our favorite wood boxes.  Perfect with the hostess's mercury glass votives and lovely table details!

Flowers for Sarah and Brian

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to put together a fun bridal bouquet and boutonniere for a very nice couple, Sarah and Brian.  Not too "flowery", just lots of interesting textures, succulents, pods and berries, in shades of orange, yellow and touches of silvery gray.

A variety of succulents, orange dahlias, craspedia, berzellia, gomphrena, and scabiosa pods made up the bouquet

The boutonniere consisted of a small succulent, dahlia bud, gomphrena, scabiosa pod, berzillia berries, hypericum berry and seeded eucalyptus
Congratulations Sarah and Brian!  I loved your flowers!

More fall flowers

Since the month of November is quickly coming to an end, and the season will soon be over, I thought I'd post a few more of my favorite fall arrangements

And, a few of the outside of the shop, with our fall display...

You can never have too many pumpkins - in my opinion anyway!

Hello

Hi there!
I've finally managed to put together a blog for Cottage Flowers, and I'm so excited to post pictures of our work, ideas and inspirations.  So, to start, here are some pictures of some recent fall arrangements...

Autumn may be my favorite time of year, although as each season rolls around I tend to change my mind!  This year we've really been enjoying all kinds of yummy fall flowers and textures - grasses, pods, berries, there's no end to the fun things to work with.
                                                        Pumpkin arrangements, my fav!

Stay tuned for lots more fun fall flowers!
